Jesús Eduardo Zavala Castañeda (born 21 July 1987 in Monterrey, Nuevo León) is a Mexican footballer who currently plays for C.F. Monterrey in Primera División.
International career
After having an exceptional tournament with C.F. Monterrey where he ended up winning, Zavala appeared in the first list of José Manuel de la Torre, the manager of the Mexico national football team. Zavala was one of the three Monterrey players that appeared in this list along with Luis Perez and Aldo de Nigris[1]. He eventually played in the 2011 Gold Cup, including the final against the United States, which Mexico won 4-2.
